Like many practitioners I became involved with holistic health because of my own and my family’s health issues.
Several years ago I trained in subtle energy modalities including non-local healing, dowsing, meditation, altered states of consciousness and the many forms of vibrational healing including flower essences, homeopathy, colour, gems and pattern. Nutrition was also studied, more particularly its effects on the human energy field. Conventional medicine and anatomy and physiology were compared with systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Ayurvedic system and the “subtle anatomy” models.
To ground my studies a little more conventionally, my studies with the School of Natural Health Sciences have been invaluable. Starting in 2004, courses have provided me with ongoing flexible, affordable training in Holistic Therapy, as well as Continuing Professional Development opportunities (CPD). It has been interesting to learn new skills both for myself personally and to help me extend the scope of my practice. In making the commitment to ongoing study I continue to extend my client base.
My private practice is marketed through my business www.therapynetworkonline.co.uk which also promotes the concept and benefits of therapists networking together. Workshops, seminars and one to one mentoring also provide an “optional extra “ for therapists and students taking courses online or by attendance.
I have also continued with my interest in “subtle energy” including becoming the course writer for the school’s Holistic Dowsing course. So although my practice and my business have moved in other directions as well, I haven’t left “subtle energy” behind!Meet More Successful SNHS Graduates >>
