Please meet our UK Contacts

Over the past 21 years our School has trained thousands of students from countries all around the globe.

We have 10 of our graduates on this page representing Carmarthenshire, Glasgow, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Surrey and Warwickshire.

These individuals are ‘working therapists’, having trained and qualified with us. We invite you to contact them regarding our courses, and to learn how you can use ‘our accredited qualifications’ to begin work as ‘Holistic Therapists’. They are, like all of us, very busy people, hence they may not always reply to you immediately! However, they have all elected to appear on our pages, and therefore welcome emails from students wishing to study with us.

Angela Mitchell - Glasgow (Scotland)

Angela MitchellSNHS Dip. (Life Coaching), SNHS Dip. (Indian Head Massage), Clinical Aromatherapy – Ross Clinic. Studying: SNHS Stress Management with a view to offering more ‘talking therapies’ to clients.

Angela Mitchell runs her own business, Top Note Therapies, in Glasgow, Scotland.

“My studies with The School of Natural Health Sciences began in 2007 which resulted in qualifications in Indian Head Massage. This has opened so many doors for me. I also qualified in Life Coaching with The School which really helps when dealing with clients, giving me a different dimension to taking ‘health history’ and making the whole consultation more dynamic. I have my Public Liability Insurance in place, to cover my work as a therapist.

I currently work for special needs adults at the Carlton Day centre, the elderly and autistic at Real Life Options, both in Glasgow, as well as having private clients who wish to either relax or have current clinical issues dealt with.

I’m honoured to be a part of the UK contacts group and will endeavour to offer professional guidance to all who contact me”.

Rose Cook - Surrey (England)

Rose CookSNHS Dip. (Aromatherapy), SNHS Dip. (Reflexology), SNHS Dip. (Mindfulness), SNHS Dip. (Business & Marketing)

I have been a Nanny for the last ten years and I am currently re- training to become a Holistic Therapist, with the School.

Effectively, I have given my boss four years’ notice as my youngest charge will be driving by then and they will no longer need me. That means I have four years to get as much training and practice as I can and build up a client base.

I am currently in the process of delivering gift certificates to all the local schools to use as raffle prizes. To get my name and face ‘out there’. My website is under construction.

The courses I have completed with the SNHS have been invaluable in helping me to achieve my target.  I have just started advertising for business and have my first 3 clients. Very proud!

Julia CleggSNHS Higher International Diploma in Holistic Therapies, SNHS Dip. (Anatomy & Physiology), SNHS Dip. (Philosophy), SNHS Dip. (Psychotherapy & Counselling), SNHS Dip. (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), SNHS Dip. (Reflexology), SNHS Dip. (Professional Relaxation Therapy), SNHS Dip. (Stress Management), SNHS Dip. (Indian Head Massage)

Julia Clegg ran her own Therapy Practice, Reflexions, for three years from 2013 to 2016 but has now moved on to a role in corporate occupational health, engaging a broader spectrum in terms of how ‘personal stress’ affects the workplace and employment issues, and what this represents with regard to occupational health matters and current legislation. Julia says “I am happy to help any students with advice about the process of setting up their own practices, and am available to answer any queries I can about the school”.

In 2011 she began studying with the School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS Ltd). Her studies with the School have enabled her to gain qualifications to work with the knowledge obtained in a variety of subjects (8 in total) and help others with the problems that beset modern lives.

Julia says: I cannot find sufficient words as yet to thank SNHS for their support and help over the past 5 years, as they have provided a considerable life-changing experience for me in terms of re-education and encouragement, and enabled me to face the future with confidence. I can wholeheartedly recommend their courses not only for their content, but also to renew personal self-esteem and enjoyment in life.

Sue Mousley - Warwickshire (England)

Sue Mousley

SNHS Dip. (Professional Relaxation Therapy), SNHS Dip. (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Aromatherapist (JBSA), Baby Massage Teacher, First Aid Instructor/Assessor, Bach Flower Remedies Level 1 & 2, RGN (Registered General Nurse), RM (Registered Midwife)

I worked within the National Health Service (NHS) as a midwife and nurse for 37 years, retiring from practice at the end of 2015. Although I still work in the capacity as a volunteer in the role of ‘Oasis Team Leader’. I also jointly own a small training company which trains first aid and aromatherapy in pregnancy and baby massage courses.

In 2011 I was approached by the hospital chaplain at The George Eliot Hospital, where I am based, to help set up a new project, entitled ‘The Oasis Project’, to deal with anxiety and stress our patients experienced when coming into hospital for surgery or medical procedures and tests.

It was at this time I searched and found the School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS) and the Professional Relaxation course which fitted the criteria for what we wanted to achieve in the project. As funds were raised more trainees were enrolled and undertook the course to maintain a standard across the team. All graduates that have completed the Professional Relaxation Therapy course are using their skills as part of a Rota we have for ‘Oasis sessions’. They provide talks and presentations to spread the word about the Project and use their skills as part of their daily lives too as an extra tool in the ‘toolbox of care’. The Oasis team now has a dedicated room given to them by the George Eliot Trust management which has helped give further credibility.

The help and support that The School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS) has given and the ease of communication has been exceptional and as more people volunteer for the Project they too start on the study pathway with the School.

The Project has been audited and is awaiting publication in a journal. It has been a great success in helping patients and staff members in learning how to deal with stress and anxiety and giving them the tools to do this. There is nothing similar, or as generic, elsewhere in the National Health Service (NHS) and, as such, the George Eliot is leading the way for others to follow. This is something we’re obviously hugely proud of and it’s the dedication of our team of volunteers that makes the Project possible.

For further information about studying with the School and any guidance needed please contact me

Read the Oasis Project report, written by training coordinator Sue Mousley, which has been published in the ‘Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice’ journal entitled “The Oasis Project, exploring the concept of reducing anxiety and stress in a hospital setting”

Roy Riseborough - Lincolnshire (England)

roy-riseboroughSNHS Dip. (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), SNHS Dip. (Meridian Psychotherapy) & SNHS Dip. (Advanced Meridian Psychotherapy).

I have studied 3 courses with the SNHS ~ Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the foundation and advanced courses in Meridian Psychotherapy. The latter introduced me to the fascinating world of meridians and their part in health care. I have travelled a long way but the first steps were the excellently crafted Meridian Psychotherapy courses provided by the School. It opened up and encouraged my thinking in this area. It also helped me in getting back to study, with no overt pressure as I could learn at my own pace.

Interestingly, recent reports are being published about how NLP time line work dove-tails into energy work. So with this strong foundation I confidently go about my practice work. I am ‘insured as a practitioner’ by one of the well-known companies recommended by the Schools accrediting body the International College of Holistic Medicine (ICHM). The joy of helping people is a reward beyond price.

Again I really do want to emphasise how my journey began with the ‘first steps’ taken through the School of Natural Health Sciences courses, it is through this portal that other avenues have opened up for me.

Lesley Humphreys - Hertfordshire (England)

Lesley_HumphreysSNHS Dip. (Reflexology), SNHS Dip. (Nutrition) & Reiki Master

Lesley is currently running a clinic in Stevenage, Hertfordshire called Sole To Soul.

After completing my course in Reflexology with the School of Natural Health Sciences, my business has gone from ‘strength to strength’. I now run a clinic in my home town, and also go into companies offering Reflexology treatments. This has proven to be very successful, and the benefit that my clients have experienced has been wonderful. In addition I have received lots of very good positive feedback and recommendations, for future clients.

In December 2011 I graduated in Holistic Nutrition with the School. Currently, I provide this service, alongside Reflexology, and also as a ‘stand alone therapy’, again proving to be invaluable.

My Website is:

Annya Stephens-Boal - Carmarthenshire (Wales)

annya-stephensSNHS Dip. (Hot Stone Therapy), SNHS Dip. (Advanced Aromatherapy), SNHS Dip. (Reflexology), SNHS Dip. (Indian Head Massage).

I achieved my first holistic medicine qualification in 1999 when I studied Basic Aromatherapy with the Oxford College and went on to take a more formal and in-depth Aromatherapy course in 2008.

In 2009 I decided that I would like to provide a greater selection of therapies to my clients. However, atthat time I had a full-time job with a charity, as well as my Aromatherapy practice during the evenings, and at weekends, and studying full-time in a formal college environment was simply not an option for me.It was then that I came across The School of Natural Health Sciences, who offer fantastic courses at great prices, with the option of studying at your own pace, making it possible to fit it in aroundwhatever other commitments you may have in your life. Essential for my personal needs and that of many others!

I have now studied with The School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS) since 2009 and am currentlystudying Advanced Reflexology, Indian Facial Massage (just the case studies to finish now) and AllergyTesting. I am also in the process of writing my dissertation on the use of Aromatherapy in HIV/AIDS formy Higher International Diploma.

I have a home practice, with a beautiful therapy room overlooking the rolling hills of West Wales, where Isee clients. I also provide a local mobile service too. Additionally I utilise my advanced aromatherapy skillsdirectly in my successful traditional soap, and bath and body business. I have a busy website for on-linesales, both in the UK and the EU, and often have tables at local craft fairs. My popular and highlyeffective products are also stocked in local shops and craft centres. I offer a customised blendingservice, and I also undertake distance consultation and aromatherapy prescribing. Clients can also book atreatment via the site too.

I have given many talks to local WI and other community-based groups about Aromatherapy, Reflexologyand cold process soap making. Many people have commented on how nice it is to have the “myths andmystery” taken out of traditional holistic healing methods.

SNHS courses have provided me with an excellent opportunity to return to studying, after a break away, and are also invaluable for learning new skills for continued professional development purposes. It is never too late to learn and there is always more to learn in the immensely fulfilling field of holistictherapies!
