What our students say

I had always found counselling, and how the brain works, very interesting but had never really pursued it until Kathy was unable to complete her Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) course and I took it over. I had recently had a bad time at work, which resulted in having counselling myself, so I grabbed the chance to do the course as it would help me, if nothing else. I thoroughly enjoyed the subject and, upon successful completion, I actually felt that I had achieved something important for my future. I have not looked back and now I am actually working with my ‘first client’ and feel that I am doing something worthwhile with my life and have just enrolled on the Psychotherapy & Counselling course as this is the direction I want my life to go in. The course has provided all the tools that I need and is very much a tangible qualification for working as a Therapist.

I have always been interested in the Natural Health Sciences and was a practising Reiki Practitioner. Since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2007, this had a profound impact on my life and what I wanted to do with it.

As I was left with Lymphoedema from the treatment, it was important to learn to deal with stress and this led me to seek out a course to help with this. The advertisement was in The Holland and Barrett Healthy magazine for the School of Natural Health Sciences and, once I investigated the prospectus,it was clear that the Stress and Relaxation courses were just what I wanted to do. I have successfully completed both courses and have used the skills and knowledge to become a Stress and Relaxation Therapist. After all this, I enrolled for the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) course but I was unable to do much, as I was taken ill, so the course was transferred to my Husband.

I have decided to tackle another course which is Drug & Alcohol Counselling which will help with my voluntary work for a local organisation  who deal with Drug issues. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to take a course to go through the School of Natural Health Sciences as they are always very helpful and knowledgeable with what ever course you do.

Thank you so much! I am thrilled to have gained an A grade pass for my final exam in Reflexology. I can’t wait to frame my certificate and put it on the wall next to my Beauty Therapy certificate.

This week I have opened my own beauty salon called ‘Me-time’ offering massage, facials, body scrubs, manicures and now, Reflexology!! I have had a lot of interest in the Reflexology and can’t wait to get started with my clients, as I have learnt a great deal from your course.

Many thanks once again and, please pass my thanks on to my tutor George Fortescue.

Thank you so much for getting in touch so quickly with the results of my CBT and Drug & Alcohol Counselling final exams – I was able to put both qualifications on an application for a post, which has been greatly strengthened!

Also, just wanted to advise that I got the job I was applying for, in large part due to the training and qualifications I have just obtained from yourselves. This was for a lecturing post in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring. – so thank you again!!!

This genuinely has been the most enjoyable training I have ever done, and I’ve already started recommending it to everyone I think might be interested. I’m really looking forward to continuing with the other courses I have enrolled for which makes a lovely change from ‘past training experiences’.

All I can say is thank you again!!!

I’ve just received the result of my aromatherapy exam – an ‘A’ pass. I’m absolutely over the moon and can’t wait to continue my studies with my other courses. I will admit that I’m struggling a bit with the acupressure course, but knowing that there’s no time limit takes the worry away.  I can always go back to that later when I’m ready and more confident.

There are so many courses at the School of Natural Health Sciences that I want to do that I feel I’ll be studying with you for a long time!

Thank you for making these affordable courses available to all.

Thank you for sending the result for my Herbalism course. I am so pleased! It has been especially rewarding for me as I had to retire from working as a nurse three years ago because of health problems, and even though it was very devastating for me to leave work it has meant that I now have more time to study the things that I really feel passionate about.

I really did the Herbalism course for myself and to help my family. I love growing herbs and use them whenever I can. In the future when I have completed more of the courses I may go on to do some voluntary work using my skills.

When I enrolled for the Herbalism course last year I also applied to do the Meditation and the Colour Therapy courses.

I first got to know the name of the School of Natural Health Sciences in passing through my colon hydrotherapist by the name of Kay Vosloo, two years ago. However, this year, I actually took the time to do some research on the various schools and study options in the field of alternative medicine and nutrition for my personal use, and that is when I Google-d your school.

I then contacted both, Kay Vosloo and another lady through your website by the name of Rosalind, from Abu Dhabi – both of whom gave me very positive feedback about your school.

I just wanted to say a very sincere ‘Thank You’ for making today (my birthday) even more special with knowing I have achieved a Grade A pass in Crystal Healing! Due to family circumstances there has been a two year gap between completing my final lesson and sitting my final exam, if not for The School of Natural Health Sciences I would likely not achieved my dream.

Thank you again, and i look forward to beginning my next course with you.

I came across The School of Natural Health Sciences website whilst searching for an online course in Indian Head massage. The course that the School offered was realistically priced and affordable. Having read through the website, I discovered that the school had also been used by the National Health Service (UK) employees, which was very reassuring.

Once I received the course material for the 3 courses that I decided to take up, Indian Head massage, Crystal Healing and Indian Face massage, I found them all well written, with clear instructions and guidance. I have learnt so much in the past couple of months.

I took the ‘self-study option’ because I had already been studying, and that is working well for me. Course material is emailed directly to me and returned promptly from the Self Study team, so I don’t have to worry about putting it in the post.

I would definitely recommend The School of Natural Health Sciences.

In February last year (2012) I was surfing the internet because I was trying to find all the different jobs and careers people have in therapy. I was in need of a complete ‘career change’. I have been doing catering since I left school because I never really knew what I wanted to do, and it’s been soul destroying!

Originally I was looking for counselling and psychology courses. When the search results came up on Google the list was extensive. What made your school call out to me was the name, The School of Natural Health Sciences. Intrigued I clicked on the link and was happy to see your homepage with that ‘beautiful flower’. It really gave the page a relaxing, natural spa feel. I had been having a rough time with anxiety and panic attacks, so naturally anything to do with relaxation therapy was a good way to go for me. As I searched through the list of courses I soon realised that the courses on offer were exactly the thing I was looking for. I guess it was a ‘know it when I see it’ type situation.

I started with Professional Relaxation Therapy, and I’ve never looked back. Holistic Skincare Products was fun and I’ve started up a small business making ‘bath bombs’ for now. Just to keep me going until I complete my other courses and get started.

I’ve been studying, Reflexology, Hot Stone Therapy and Aromatherapy. All three courses are very enjoyable, doing the ‘practical case studies’ had to go on hold for a while, but I plan on continuing with them soon. At the moment I’m really enjoying Crystal Healing and Reiki, they are both intriguing subjects.

I knew when I first looked at your ‘course list’ that I wouldn’t be doing just the one course. I can see me studying with the school for many years to come. I’ve written a list of al the courses I would like to enrol on. I’ve been ticking them off as I go.

When I enrolled on my first course, your ‘customer service’ was and still is excellent!

I was first exposed to alternative medicine 8 years ago, when my husband and three children and I lived in Paris. We had an amazing Ukrainian nanny, who had been raised by her shaman grandmother. So when our children became ill with the normal colds and flu, and even more serious illnesses such as bronchitis, she healed them with concoctions of mustard powder, chest rubs made up vodka and garlic, and baths with chamomile flowers. From that moment on, I wanted to learn everything I could about alternative medicine! Shortly after we left France, I became quite ill. The doctors were convinced that I had a serious case of rheumatoid arthritis, and wanted to give me a series of pills and cortisone shots, but I refused. I knew there had to be another way. I took what I had remembered from my time in France and began educating myself. Through a combination of diet changes and herbs, I was able to cure myself. Seven years later, I have no signs of arthritis!

Initially, my interest in alternative medicine was driven by a desire to take care of myself and my family. But, now that my children are older and I have more time, I can finally formally study subjects which have held my interest for years!

I am so grateful for these on-line courses! They are perfect for a busy mother like me. I can study in the comfort of my home at my own pace. This is a great programme, and I hope eventually to take this knowledge and continue to help not only my family, but also develop my own ‘alternative medicine practice’. Thank you!

Once again, The School of Natural Health Sciences has helped me on the path to my dream. I decided a year ago to look into alternative therapy courses to help me learn more about my job (I work for a leading health care company), the thought of all the training I was facing at work was daunting and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to take it all in.

I started with Aromatherapy with the school, and the extra knowledge gained has afforded me a better understanding of how to regain and maintain balance within the body. Then came Holistic Herbalism, and yet again, I find that I have devoured all of the literature provided and this has helped me in so many ways. I am more confident in my dealings with people who request help, and I have a clearer understanding of herbal remedies as opposed to conventional medicines.

Based on my experiences with The School of Natural Health Sciences, I have already recommended you to so many people. I’m very excited about my future studies and hugely grateful for the support I receive from the team at the School.

Thank you so much for helping me achieve what I never thought I could.

I am a life coaching student with the School of Natural Health Sciences, nearing the end of my course and I wanted to share with you some news. I have successfully had a feature published with Soul & Spirit Magazine (a Fear Busting Masterclass) in the current issue that’s on sale: February.

I wrote the article with the skills and knowledge I learnt from your course and it’s been such a huge success. For my next course I am wondering whether to do the Advanced Life Coaching course or Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This has changed my life and brought me to life. I now am living my passion,
