My love for the study of nutrition and fitness, comes from a desire to open the eyes of individuals, releasing them into a life of health and strength, in mind and body, through understanding the fuel required to sustain and enjoy optimum health daily.
I currently run my own business in Barnard Castle, County Durham as a Personal Fitness Trainer and Nutritional Therapist, offering ladies personal fitness training for health and disease reversal. I am also a Health Walk Leader and Trainer and PTLLS qualified tutor in all areas of health, fitness and wellbeing for school and adult education, and give additional advice on diet and healthy eating regimes. I also run Relaxation Classes for antenatal and postnatal mothers. This has been both successful and rewarding.
Since graduating with a Higher International Diploma in Nutrition from The School of Natural Health Sciences, my expertise and knowledge has increased greatly. This has also helped me to become a better lecturer due to my increased confidence. I talk on various subjects relating to Nutrition. I have now opened my own Clinical Practice called ‘Eating and Living’, as well as providing a personal fitness training service.
Additionally I provide complementary therapies including Reflexology, Indian Head massage, Swedish massage and Aromatherapy, working primarily with ladies suffering from stress related disorders, Alzheimer’s and ‘care for carers’. All 40 minute treatments are £10 to ensure that all ladies in the area can receive this help and support.
Also I am furthering my understanding in this field and currently studying advanced Reflexology, Acupressure and Hot Stone Therapy, with the School.
Thanks to God and being able to study with the School of Natural Health Sciences, I have also recently won ‘Most Innovative Business’ in Teesdale Business Awards. I am now looking to expand my business this year, training others to join me in order that more woman may be reached and receive mental and physical support through these therapies.
