You use a browser numerous times a day to look at emails, social media, do your banking, shopping, and of course, access your School of Natural Health Sciences account.
Your browser collects and stores lots of different information from the places you visit which, over time, could cause problems when logging in or loading websites. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to regularly clean your browser by deleting the history, cache and cookies. This will ensure your privacy is more secure and that your browser will work more efficiently.
Cookies
When you visit a website a small piece of data called a cookie is deposited and stored in your browser. The next time you visit the same website your browser will send the cookie back with all of the information from your last visit. Browsers store cookies until they expire, which in the case of tracking cookies is years.
Cache
Your browser cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites you visit in order to speed up your browsing experience. The cache is usually overwritten when it reaches a certain amount, but it will store information about your browsing history until you clear it.
To get the most out of your School of Natural Health Sciences account, we recommend clearing the cache and cookies on your browser often. If you are having trouble logging in, try deleting your cookies. If your account isn’t loading correctly, you aren’t seeing what you expect to, or there’s an error, try clearing the cache to make sure you are seeing the most up to date information. It’s usually best to clear both at the same time to eliminate any issues.
We recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer or Firefox for your School of Natural Health Sciences account. Keeping your browser up to date will help pages load better and give you more security.
