“Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.”
Kevin Trudeau
Yoga is beneficial for everyone and is proudly a gender-irrelevant activity. However, there are certain poses which can be focused specifically for men, targeting their more common problem areas. Same for pregnant women, menopausal women, people with back problems, hip problems etc, etc. A routine can be catered to your specific needs. So, if you’re a dude, and you’re into yoga, or thinking about getting into yoga, this will hopefully give you that push or motivation to get stretching. It’s really a huge shame that more gents don’t participate in the extremely beneficial holistic practice. It’s observably a dominantly female activity, so it’s our mission to tally in a few more men.
“With yoga, you’ll hone your mental focus, rid your system of toxins, and maybe even boost your performance in the bedroom. You’ll even be able to touch your toes — improved flexibility is a bonus for just about every sport.”
Joshua Berman (mensfitness.com)
One of the most attractive features of yoga is it’s beautiful simplicity. To start off with, you only need some space, a soft place to stand and the free time to spare. Sure, there are extras you can buy along the way such as support blocks, yoga mats, yoga clothing, instructional videos and so on. But really, you don’t need all of that. A carpet will do, if that’s what you have.
